The world over is selling on Cisco Webex; meeting on Microsoft Teams; pitching on GoToMeeting, and watching online conferences on Zoom. Presenting online is essentially learning to become a TV presenter. |

Moving to online conferencing was simple for me. I have the equipment, and have been presenting on live and pre-recorded television since children’s television back in 2004, to more recently on Saturday Kitchenand James Martin’s Saturday Morning. Whether you’re selling, training, pitching, or discussing – a webcam makes communication completely different because of how we behave when we feel “watched”. If you’ve found yourself having to present to clients and colleagues online, but feel you’d benefit from more skills; more knowledge; some guidance, and a little advice – put this in your diary: |
If you can’t make it live, a recording of the Masterclass will be available online for you to watch afterwards. I’m going to explain:
Over the past 10 months I’ve presented more than 50 online conferences and one thing above anything else really stands out: a lot of people still cannot present to a webcam. They stammer; lose their train of thought; are clearly distracted; resort to reading a Word document in a monotone, boring voice; and look unprofessional because their ironing is in the background. We’ve lost, for now at least, the face to face benefits of communicating and selling because they don’t fully transfer to webcams. And with that, we’ve gained a new set of challenges that for many, still feel quite alien and uncomfortable. All simple things to fix if you know how: |
Friday 26th February, 10AM until 1130AM GMT. There will be opportunity to ask questions directly after the session for those who wish to. |
