Jez is one of only a few specialists in the UK who work with dogs who bark, lunge and appear aggressive, on and off leash, with excellent results.
There are many reasons why dogs growl, lunge and bark when on-leash and Jez will help you discover why your dog is displaying the behaviour, helping both you and your dog with the frustration. Most dogs he works with are cautious or fearful and simply displaying aggressive behaviour to keep those things they find fearful (normally other dogs), away.
Jez offers a number of solutions to suit both your dog and your budget. He runs a Growl Class which helps build confidence around other dogs over 6 weeks. This is suitable for any dog who growls at other dogs but has never bitten or attacked another dog so much that it caused harm.
You may book a behaviour consultation for Jez to assess the dog and leave you with a plan to change the dog's behaviour.
Or, on a one-to-one basis, Jez will teach you how to effectively, confidently and safely change the behaviour of your reactive dog using positive correction techniques in only 3 sessions (normally spread over 3 weeks).
Following an initial interview, Jez will develop a plan for you and your dog and help to implement the plan by teaching foundation skills before working up to specific techniques, coaching you along the way. Jez works closely with the dog, training it personally before demonstrating the techniques for you to use.
With committed effort and a proactive approach, the improvements in your dog's leash aggression and manners, can be quite dramatic.
