AMWAY INVITE JEZ TO HOST MULTI-NATIONAL LIVE BROADCAST

Jez presents live to a SteadyCam in the purpose-built studio in Madrid.

The world’s largest multi-level marketing company, Amway, recently broadcast a live one hour event for the first time to thousands of Amway colleagues across 5 global regions; a significant project for this large business region, with all eyes watching.

Partnering with international production company BeOn to construct a fully-functioning 5 camera broadcast studio within a building in the centre of Madrid, Amway contemplated having an internal colleague act as host for the event, but decided an external, professional presenter would help bring on-screen professionalism and energy, and place the entire live broadcast into safe and experienced hands.

Jez was delighted to be asked to host Amway’s Ignite Live!, which coincidentally marked his 150th live broadcast! Having spent almost 10 years presenting live and pre-recorded television with the BBC, ITV, and Discovery, and hosting as many as 20 live conferences a year, Jez’s unique broadcast experience not only ensures quick resolutions to inevitable challenges that arise, but helps guarantee success.

Amway’s Managing Director for Europe, Southern Africa, Australia & New Zealand describing it as “a big step forward” for the region. “There is so much that can go wrong with these type of events”, Jez told us, “owing to the nature of there being so many moving parts - you’re reliant on so many people, and a wide range of specialist skills all coming together at just the right time in exactly the right way. Over many years and many, projects I’ve hosted, from live television to both live and recorded events, I’ve seen where it can go wrong, and how to fix it, live!”

Being on site for two days of rehearsals enabled Jez to meet and plan with the production crew, client, and special guests before the live show on the third day. This preparation is essential to rehearse positions, accommodate last-minute changes, and for everyone to see how the event will look on screen. The final live event included links to pre-recorded videos from senior Amway colleagues based in the USA; pre-recorded messages from colleagues in New Zealand; live in-studio discussions with colleagues from Italy, Turkey, Budapest, and Austria, and virtual live discussions with Amway colleagues in South Africa, broadcast into the studio.

Jez co-hosted sections of the show with Melodie Nakhle, Amway’s Managing Director for Europe, Southern Africa, Australia & New Zealand, with many Amway colleagues commenting on Jez’s professionalism and high level of expertise - conversations are already underway as to how Jez and Amway might work together again in the future.
